REGULAR COMMISSION IN PAKISTAN ARMY THROUGH  25th TECHNICAL CADET
COURSE (SEPTEMBER 2013 ENTRY)


1.           ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS 

 
a.  AGE  -  17  –  21 years on 1st
  September 2013 (relaxable for three months
both in upper and lower age limit)


b.  GENDER  -  Male
c.  MARITAL STATUS  -  Unmarried

e.  PHYSICAL  STANDARDS
(1)     Minimum Height         -   5’- 4” (162.5 cm)
(2)     Weight                         -   As per Body Mass Index
f.  EDUCATION.    FSc (Pre Engineering) Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry / Computer Studies /
Computer Sciences with minimum 65% marks


(2)    Candidates who have passed FSc Part-I Examination with minimum 65% marks and
appeared / are appearing in FSc Part-II / Final Examination can also apply on “HOPE
Certificates” duly issued by Head of  the institutions. However, such candidates must
submit FSc final result cards / mark sheets within one week of the announcement of
FSc Board results, otherwise they will not be considered in final merit.   
(3)    Candidates who have passed FSc in Computer Sciences can apply for Computer
Software Engineering only.

3.    REGISTRATION AND PRELIMINARY SELECTION PROCEDURE
Candidates  can either register through Internet or by visiting Army Selection and Recruitment
Centres (AS&RCs). Following procedure will be adopted:-
a.  REGISTRATION THROUGH INTERNET.  Candidates can register on website
www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk. Date and time of test shall be intimated on internet, for which
the individual should have an e-mail account. Candidates will report on exact date and time
given for preliminary test on computerized roll no slip. Date once given wi ll not be changed.
Candidates will also bring along documents mentioned in para 6 and will pay prospectus fee
on the day of test. Candidates MUST attain working knowledge of computer as registration
and tests will be conducted on computers.

c.  SCHEDULE OF REGISTRATION / PRELIMINARY TESTS.  Registration and preliminary
test will be held as per following schedule:-


Registration  27 Feb -17 Mar 2013 (Including Saturday / Sunday)
Preliminary Test  20 Mar – 2 April 2013  (Except Saturday/Sunday/Closed Holidays)


d.  PRELIMINARY SELECTION   
(1)   INTELLIGENCE / WRITTEN TESTS.    Written test will be based on multiple choice
questions from English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry / Computer Studies /
Computer Sciences (Only for CS students). Candidates declared successful in
intelligence / written tests, will undergo physical tests at AS&RCs.
(2)   PHYSICAL TESTS.  Candidates must qualify  following physical tests :-
  (a)  1.6 Km Run     -    8½ Minutes
  (b)  Push Ups        -    15 Repetitions in 2 Minutes
  ©  Sit Ups            -    15 Repetitions in 2 Minutes
  (d)  Chin Ups         -     3 Repetitions in 2 Minutes 
  (e)  Ditch Crossing -    7’4” x 7’4” with a Depth of 4’


(3)  PRELIMINARY MEDICAL TEST.    Candidates will undergo initial medical test at
AS&RCs.
4.  FURTHER SELECTION.    Only  short listed  candidates will be called for ISSB tests through
website as well as call up letters. Medical examination of ISSB recommended candidates will be carried out
at nearby CMHs.  Final selection will be made at GHQ  on the basis of candidate’s overall performance.
Allocation of disciplines will be made with due consideration to merit, choice and service requirements.
Allotment of discipline / decision of GHQ will be final and no representation in this regard or request for
change in discipline allotted will be entertained.

b.  PRIORITY OF DISCIPLINES.    Priority of choices of discipline written / given by
candidates in application forms will not be changed. Therefore, due deliberation must be
given prior to endorsing priority of choices of discipline. 

 
c.  MILITARY TRAINING.  After obtaining Bachelor of Engineering Degree, cadets will
undergo one year military training at PMA Kakul.  


6.  DOCUMENTS REQUIRED AT AS&RCs 

 
Following documents / certificates are required at the time of registration:-
a.    Original Certificate / Detailed Marks Sheet of Matric / FSc / Equivalent certificate. In case of
‘O’ Level / ’A’ Level, submission of Equivalence Certificate issued by IBCC is mandatory. 
b.    Computerized National Identity Card for 18 years and above or Computerized Form “B”
along with Guardian’s Computerized National Identity Card (Father or Mother) for candidates
less than 18 years of age. (Old National Identity Card and Form “B” will not be accepted).
c.    One set of attested photocopies of above mentioned documents.
d.    6 x Coloured photographs attested by Principal/Class-1 Gazetted Officer. (1x front & 5x
back)

 

 

NUST



BROAD FEATURES OF ADMISSION POLICY:

The only criterion for admission in NUST is merit calculated on the basis of score in NUST Entrance Test (NET) and academic record.


Admissions for all undergraduate programmes is conducted once a year to facilitate commencement of academic year in Fall.


Candidates can seek admission in Undergraduate Programmes either on the basis of NET or Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) for which limited seats are reserved.


While Pakistani nationals (including dual nationality holders) can opt for both NET and SAT, foreign nationals can only apply for admission on the basis of SAT (International seats).
For registration for NET as well as admission, possession of Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC), Form B or National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) is mandatory.
NUST conducts NET at three locations, i.e. NUST Campus Islamabad, Karachi and Quetta.
At Islamabad Campus NET is conducted in computer-based format.
In Karachi and Quetta the test is in paper-based format.


Candidates can appear in entrance test more than once to improve their score, and then apply for admission separately on the basis of best score when applications are invited.
At Islamabad Campus, computer based entrance tests will be held in multiple sessions according to the following schedule:


First Session (NET 1) - April-May
Second Session (NET 2) - June-July
In Karachi and Quetta, paper based entrance test will be conducted only once in July.
For June-July session, candidates will have an option either to appear in Paper Based Test at Karachi and Quetta or Computer Based Test at Islamabad.
For computer-based NET, candidates can choose the date and session of test depending on availability of space.
The result of NET will remain valid for the current admission cycle only which will culminate in Fall 2013.
